This is the time of the year we have all been waiting for. It's warmer, the days are longer and change of wardrobe from winter to summer gear must be happening in nearly every household as I speak. 
Lighter clothing means no chance to cover those unwanted pounds here and there. If you are extra busy and not able to commit to a full training regime, you need to read my tips for a quick and easy weight loss goals. 

It's time to get up and go.



Let me remind you, just because you haven't been active for a while, doesn't mean your body is not really ready to do much physically. Majority health and fitness professionals will be playing it safe by telling you to take it easy and progress steadily until you are fitter. Well, that's all fine but unfortunately, about 95% of fitness newbies don't last long enough in their get fit resolutions to reap the desired results. Why? They get bored and demotivated. Why bored? Their workouts are monotonous and lengthy. Why demotivated? Not much of pound shedding happens. Here's what to do instead. You need to realise that if you are generally healthy, you can workout harder than you think. Of course, your mind will tell you differently because wants to protect you from exhaustion and losing energy in case you need it for later. You won't need it and you won't use it up later. The time is now - NOW. Most importantly though, I don't encourage anyone to beat world sprint records from day one. Let me repeat - the tip to stick to is GET UP AND GO. Correct, run, walk or cycle, the key is to PUSH HARDER than you'd think you could, even if you only have 20 minutes. It works. 


Stretch your way to a lean body



We are all guilty of compromising our stretch time for another minute or two on a treadmill thinking it's a way better way to improve the shape of our bodies. Wrong. You need to balance your cardiovascular conditioning with strength and flexibility training, with flexibility ratios dominating the resistance workout at 2:1. I said it before and don't back upon this occasion, to succeed with your weight loss goals - QUICKLY - you'd better work on reaching those toes on a regular basis. This is because a supple body means lean body with muscles, joints and ligaments lubricated and ready to go through intense physical activity, prepared to burn excess calories. Yes, it would be ideal if you could commit to a full yoga practice two to three  times a week but a 10 minute a day of a basic, full body stretching will work wonders.
